• Make sure to comment on thesis statement- does it address the entire prompt and deeper meaning/theme?
• Check first sentences of each body paragraph- is each an assertion?
• Does the evidence in each body paragraph support the assertion AND the original thesis statement?
• Does elaboration analyze to connect back to the theme/deeper meaning and thesis statement?
• Must comment on each paragraph
• Write C/B and your name at the top of essay before returning it to its owner
• Choose one more person in your group to review the score and comments. They may agree with the comments and score, add to it, and/or revise.
